Mecum - 1962 Catalina SD
WOW!
This will be interesting given the recent 7 figure sale on a 70 RA IV convertible
Great looking car, but you'd think they would get the front bumper on straight for the kind of $$ they expect. Or is that an aluminum bumper thing?
A alu thing!Tom
I assume this is a clone?
If It was mine I don’t think I could bring myself to sell it, would have to be an estate sale.
Not a clone,I knew the owner in AZ,passed away a year or two ago.Early 62 SD car.306 head car as I remember.Tom
Yes,its a 306 head car.tom
This car in a Hemmings article a few years back.
Be interesting to see what it brings!
Pontiac styling was the best! Such a great car in so many ways. Hope it sells during a live telecast instead of rolling up and they cut to commercial.
Nice.
Thanks!Bob Allings car,RIP..Tom
Beautiful car! I hesitated to weigh in about this but that intake manifold number 54299 was the aftermarket available dual quad number as opposed to the factory correct 542991 manifold? Or am I wrong?
Correct

I will say that I love the fact that the motor on the red car is dirty/ discolored as it has been probably driven on the street. The white car I posted the link for probably has never been on a public highway since restored in 1991.
