69 Sprint head / 30* or 45* valve which is better?

My car still has the factory motor that has not been taken apart and it is an early production motor. I know that the later production 69 Sprints got 45 degree valves but I am not sure when? Can I assume the the 45 degree angle is better for performance?

I recently won a Ebay auction for a NOS 69 Sprint head that I am going to have work done to. Hardened seats and I will have Kanter cut the valves for it but they are asking for the degree.

Have you checked out www.egge.com for better prices.
On the valve degrees, good question, I don't know.

If you are having seats installed and cut into it, I'd get the valves and head to a machine shop and let them cut the seats. They can do a 3 to 5 angle cut on the valves too.

Basically I'm saying, just get the valves and head to the shop and let the machinist's do his thing and decide on the valve seat angle, or match the seats to the valves you get.

The '69 Service manual says both the intake and exhaust valve seats are 45º.
