Stockton Wheel
Would like to get a set of 15” dog dish wheels that clear disc brakes for a ‘63 Catalina. Has anyone dealt with Stockton Wheel recently?

Been many years, great work but not cheap.Tom

Anecdotal information, but I was reading a discussion on another board recently that indicated that recently they've been slow to turn around orders.
15" steel rims from a 1971-1976 full size Pontiac will fit your car and should be easy enough to find, although I don't know about being able to run period dog dish caps on them. |
Friend of mine had 15in 8 lugs made a year or so ago and took awhile.Tom

I've run dog dish caps on my '64 GTO with the original 14" wheels, factory 15" wheels and now 17" bare steel wheels from Wheel Vintiques (through Summit).
Summit listing for 5x5 15" wheels - I think that's what you're looking for. https://www.summitracing.com/search/...ques-62-series I'm very happy with my 17's by WV. |
Not answering the man's question Mr Champion.
As Stuart alludes to, early Pontiac poverty caps attach differently than '64 through mid 70's wheels, thus the need for Stockton Wheels services. |

I wasn't aware of any structural difference between a 1963 wheel and a 1964 wheel. I apologize for not knowing. It's been nearly 50 years since I owned a pre '64 Pontiac (Bonneville), but that had full wheel covers, not dog dish caps. |

Will probably run something else for a while. |
Check out Summit. Look up Wheel Vintiques Series 62 wheel in 15x7 with a 4.25 back space...

Evidently the Series 62, which I have on my '64 GTO, has a different center hub than what the early 60's big cars have - which won't allow the earlier poverty caps to work. |

I already have a set of WV Series 37 with plain caps which I guess is what I’ll be using. Thanks |
Have you found the dog dish wheels that you are looking for?

I have a set of dog dish Pontiac wheels on a set of 15x6 steelies that I kept after selling off a '78 Bonneville.
Ran them with disc brakes and no issues for several years on my '68. I wanted a wider wheel in back and ordered a pair of Wheel Vintiques and I never could get the original caps mounted on the aftermarket wheels. Wound up returning them and going with Torque Thrust mags. Still have the GM wheels and caps in my basement. I know this has little to do with a '63 model, just saying, I had issues with OEM caps on aftermarket wheels but none at all fitting the caps on a 1978 B-body OEM wheel. https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...1&d=1619451129 |

But, while checking to see if the Wilwood calipers fit the Scarebird brackets, I found that the WV 37 wheels I have will not clear the Wilwood calipers. Wheels are 15x6. Next step is to try some TTOs I have on my ‘66 Catalina to see if they clear. I believe they are 15x7. You would think that a 15” WV wheel would work. |

TTOs clear fine. 15x7. Not what I want but they’ll due. For now.
Still want to run early dog dish caps . . . . . |
