Has any one ever successfuly repaired a dash pad using some of the vinyl repair kits on the market? I finally found a nice 70 dash and yep..., there is a chunk out of it near the E-brake release. I have used 3M flexible plastic repair compound on the rad filler piece, would this work on vinyl? any other products out there? any opinions ? The dash has to be dyed anyways, what filler will work ??

Try an upholstery shop. I work with a guy that repaired a dash in a vega some time ago. I don't know the name of the product or if it is still available. I do know that he said the repair looked good and held up pretty well. His dad did upholstery repair at the time and thats where he found the product. I asked him the name when he told me about it and he didn't remember it. His dad is no longer in the business and doesn't have the product info either.
You may contact Just Dashes see if they offer repair kits. I've never seen one but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
