Headers

Does any one make headers for a 73 GTO.
Looking to get some @ 1 3/4-1 7/8 D-port.
Will F-body headers fit? Thanks for any information.

GT.

Check Dougs Headers

Dougs headers (pertronix) and even Doug Thorley headers unfortunately do not show any parts for a 73 GTO. I think its their websites though... Iunless I read it wrong, what you are looking for is available through Summit from Doug Thorley, Flowtech, Hedman, Patriot to name a few, no? Were you looking for something unique, like stainless or something special? F body headers wont work.

Im not saying 73LeMans is wrong, but like I said in your Race section post...The Hedman Hustlers I have are 2nd gen F body, and they fit great. I wouldn't think there would be any difference, besides the flange, between round port(mine) and D port. I even put them up against my buddies Dougs headers(D port) for his 66 GTO, and there wasn't much difference.

Bryan, I don't mind being wrong here, and will defer to your real world experience.

Theres alway the caveat though, you get what you pay for. Cheap headers probably won't fit the same as a quality set like Dougs.
