Tilt steering on a 66 GTO?

Is a Tilt column from a Chevelle the same as a GTO for 1966?

No, the lower bowl is shaped differently. If it's reasonably priced, Chevelle guys will pounce on it.

My son called me one day, he got a great deal on a '66 tilt steering column. We have column shift, where the indicator is right behind the steering wheel. This one had the needle sticking out about halfway down the column. I knew right away it was for a Chevelle. I listed it on a local marketplace and had to turn my phone off and disable the voicemail for two days because of the response. Got 1,700.00 for it. So anyway it wasn't for a Pontiac but a great score nonetheless.
