I think they made an error in that announcement. He holds an 85 point lead over Demayo with dropped races. He has to go one round more then Demayo to win the championship. They are on opposite sides of the ladder and can only meet in the finals.

nmca website says he needs to win the event to beat demayo

If my numbers are correct Dwight came up 5 points shy of tying Demayo. Damn announcer called him the champion after he won first round. Never trust the guy talking in the tower. Lesson learned.

He did not win Demayo won the championship.
