Hi guys, I am new around here so pardon me if this question has come before. I have a 69 GTO with A/C. The water valve that is located next the the evaperator box in the engine compartment is a generic unit. I would like to get the correct style of valve that bolts up to the casing. Any ideas where to start? Thanks, Jimmy

contact our sponser and see if they have a nos or good repro one available.
if they don't they may be able to point you in the right direction with a part number. btw, welcome to the boards. mike |
Mike, thanks for the welcome. Any idea what part number I should ask for? Is there a "parts book" I can buy to help with the part numbers on a 69 GTO? Thanks,Jimmy

the gm parts books occaisonally come up on e-bay. they can get pretty salty tho and if the #'s have been superceded they may not do you much good.
put a post in the 68-9 gto tech section and ask for a part number, someone there will have the info. mike |
Thanks Mike, Jimmy

Check eBay. I saw two listings this week for NOS water valves.
Parts catalog I have show P/N is 1231105. Applications are: 65-68 P/8 69 All (w/ threaded tube) 69-70 All B, G (less threaded tube) 70-71 All A, F 71-72 All G Perhaps local Pontiac dealer with capability to search all dealer inventories nationally can find one for you. http://orbitorange.net/GDKGTO.gif 1969 GTO Restoration |
