I am looking for some company that makes the old pontiac blue-green (aqua?) engine paint of the early sixties. Can't seem to figure out if the paint made by VHT, Dupli-color etc. is the same. Can anyone help? I need spray cans.
Thanks |

Here's a couple of choices:
Plasti-Kote 208 at http://www.plastikote.com/plastikote/index.jsp or Hirsch at http://www.hirschauto.com/ I've used both with good success. Both will still burn off on the cross over on the intake and the center exhaust ports on the heads. |
Here's a good web page that lists the various brands of paint that will work.

I agree with jarhead, Bill hirsch will have what you need.
Great service and prompt delivery Dave |
I bought a couple of cans for touch up work from our host, PY this past summer.

I have used Plasti-Kote with ceramic and have had really good luck with it. I painted after I had the engine running and the paint seems to be staying longer than when I painted after the rebuild.

I get both the early, light blue, and later metallic blue Pontiac paint from Pep Boys....I will have to check the actual brand, and post later.
