I have a 68 bonneville convertable. I have replaced the top pump. Still I have nothing. There is a relay on my emergency brake mount. I noticed that before when the top was working this relay had to be grounded for the top to work. I had the relay off because I had to modify my emergency brake pedal. Now everything is back together with new top motor and its not working. I've also noted that this relay cliks when its grounded and it does not click now when I ground it, and also If I disconnect it my power seats and winsheild wipers dont work. That also now even though I think this relay is bad. I have a wiring diagram but it does not have convertable on it, and what ever this relay is I cant find it anywhere I belive ist a master power relay. Any ideas anyone? Its nice out and I cant put my top down please help.

U'all hhave answered u'alls own question. Mount that relay back up and properly ground it like before. If u'all are touch grounding it some times that don't work even if it seems like it should. Take a test lite and check for power to the top motor and trace wires back to the switch and back to that relay and back to the fuse panel. Look at the wire for color/size and stripe color and u'all can trace it back with out tearing up the wire loom.

DRIVE IT LIKE U'ALL STOLE IT!

perfect timing man. This morning I checked that relay, I had 12 coming in nothing coming out thats with a good ground. I also cheked for continuity, and got nothing at all. Now the other problem is I can't find this relay anywhere. I was thinking about trying to use a new relay that you would use for an electric fan or somthing like that, but I have the slightest idea how to go about that.
