Anybody know how hard or easy it would be to put a 1986 olds 307 into a '67 firebird?

in my opinion, your signature fits this idea.

the olds 307 is the same as a 301 in the pontiac world. a decent engine with little power and an odd block configuration.

anything will fit with some work.

Oh yeah, definately not a good swap! Only a cheap option to keep the car driveable while the original 400 gets rebuilt.

Ya gotta read my name and just have faith!

I've put a pontiac chevy and a olds 307 into three different 80's G-bodys
The Olds motor mounts set lower and to the rear
of the Chevy and Pontiac mounts
don't know what the crossmember of a 1st gen
firebird looks like. Is there anything 6 inches
back and down from where the pont. mtr mnts were?

How about mounts from an early Olds Omega. You know, Olds' version of the Nova. Don't first gen Birds and Venturas (Novas) share similar subframes. Just a thought.

Hey, good idea. I have heard there are a lot of similarities with the x-bodies. So do you think the block mount points are the same on the 307 and 350 or whatever was in the Omega's?

Anybody?
