My right rear tail light was not working so ordered a kit and got some springs and conatcts with no idea how to install them. Do I have to take the whole tail light assembly out or what? Thanks for any help, Terry.

Like CUZ68 says, ya sure do. I re-did my 68 tempest last year. Kind of a pain to pull the bumper by oneself but possible, since I was getting it re-wired I simply cut the wires. My outcome was less than desired, the springs/contacts went together easy enough but my problem arised by having worn sockets. sometimes my bulbs would light other times they wouldn't depending on how many bumps in the road!. To correct the problem I simply added solder to the copper sides of my replacement lamps. Still not 100 %. Would like to replace the housings if I could find them. Good luck!

Thanks for your help. I had a feeling I would have to do that and will probably end up with the same problem, but I hope not Thanks again.

Terry, I have the dealer service bulletin regarding the kit you have. It has some detail on how to do the fix. If you would like I can E-Mail it to you. Hope this helps
