When installing rear control arm bushings on the rearend housing, which way does the bushings go in? The flange side towards the front or back? Does it even mater?

When I took my car apart, the flange was to the rear (outside), so I put it together the same way although it doesn't seem like it should make any difference.

My bolts through the bushings were inserted from the rear (outside).
