This is not a direct bolt in but you should not have major problems as long as your 1964 combo is complete.

forsakenfew:You didn't mention what the 64 trans was. If it is a 4 speed hydamatic it should be almost a direct bolt in. I am not sure a "slim jim" would be a direct bolt in. All 60's used the 4 speed where as some 61-64 used the slim jims. I think the slim jims are longer than 4 speed hydro.

Forgot to mention if lenght of drive shaft is a problem,just have it shortened. I had to shorten mine to use with a TH400 in my 60 Ventura. With the two piece drive shaft on the 60's you must maintain alignment as per shop manual. Very important with two piece shaft !!!
