Does anyone know how to test power window motors once they have been removed from the car. I assume a direct 12v connection could fry them. Thanks

12 volts to one wire ground to the other tests one way, switch the wires tests the other.

ground the motor, then apply 12 volts to one of the terminals,(motor should go one; clockwise or counterclockwise)then apply 12 volts to the other terminal ( motor should go the opposite way)only apply the 12 volts to one terminal at a time! of course there is no load on them, so it is hard to tell if they really work well
