I have yet to see a linden green GTO at a car show here in So. Cal let alone a 67. Please post some pics of linden green goats if anyone owns one. I also have never seen one with my options(post window, a/c, remote mirror, vinyl top). I've been told by others that it is one of the most rare combos out there, is it true? I got the car appaised for a pretty good price before paint/body/chrome and the guy said there wasn't many post window goats made and even fewer linden green ones.
Here is a little story, I had a neighbor years ago that ran down the street the first day I brought it home swearing that it was his car years ago and that it must have been passed through hands to me. He said everything was exactly the same and went home to dig up old pictures and sure enough it was almost exactly the same minus the post windowhttp://forums.performanceyears.com/g.../icon_wink.gif |

My friend Tim here in Florida has an original linden green 67 hardtop (no post). It was purchased in Alabama by his uncle.
Black vinyl top, HO motor, Black interior, ps pb a/c tilt power windows, power antenna, rally gauges, remote mirror, drum brakes with hubcaps |
Vic, here's one
http://forums.performanceyears.com/g...11&m=409101896 It's not a post coupe however. |
IMHO linden green is THE BEST 67 color out there. A linden green convertable with a black top and interior.....Very Nice indeed! If I were to have a 67 it would be linden green.
|
I agree linden green is a great color. My freshly painted GTO is the original signet gold which I love. Can't tell you how much sh!t I took from my bodyman on why I didn't want it red.
I think there should be a club "Those who like their Pontiacs in colors other than red and blue". It would probably be a very small club. But very good company... |
Check the convert posted by one of our members. Man, I love linden green. And, the red fender liners on this one really give me a B*n*r.
This car might be my favorite combo of all time...Mariner turq. is great as well http://forums.performanceyears.com/g...9117#960609117 |
You know, maybe the GTOBAR 66 posted above isn't linden green? I had always assumed it was. Looking at it again, it may not be. What do you guys think?
|
Well, I picked up a Linden Green convertible that's on the future restoration list. I was considering going with another color, but after this line of comments, I think I'll go back original.

Any excuse to post a picture...
Here's my GTO, sorry not a post car. A Linden Green specimen, but it's a repaint (1979!) Notice my lousy touchup near the GTO emblem on the rear quarter. KEEP IT LINDEN GREEN. A great color especially since it's seldom seen. Dave |
Vic,
Where in So Cal are you? And where did you find your car? |
I am located in Diamond Bar CA. I bought the car about 5 years ago from Vista CA, down south by San Deigo. If I remember correctly the owner also had a GP, and a Camaro SS clone.

Here is a pic(hopefully they work, imagestation acts up some times) of her before paint/body. Basically how I bought it, except for the motor work. It was supposedly painted in 87 from what I was told.
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...0/fba875a2.jpg Original interior.. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...4/fba87599.jpg Here it is after paint/body and chrome(The body was stripped of all paint). I have to admit the shade of green is a bit different now, maybe b/c it is more 'alive', but in my opinion it matched the original shade, which I found on the inside of the door pannel, a lot better. Sorry I dont have any pics in daylight yet to get the real feel of the color. As you can see I have to change the wattage of the parking light on the passanger sidehttp://forums.performanceyears.com/g.../icon_wink.gif http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...d/fafaaf01.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...e/fafaaf35.jpg |
I would say that the link with the green '66 is Palmeto green. My '66 is the same color.
|
Ok, then I really like Palmeto green too!!!
|
GTORIC and Kevin are right. The car is palmetto green. Thanks for the compliments Fred!!!
