Mine was 3750 minus the AC compressor and brackets. All options except T-tops.

My 78 is 3750 with me, minus A/C compressor and condensor, front sway bar. T tops electric windows stereo amps and jack.

I weighted my 79, T/A on a certified scale at a truck stop for $8.00. With me standing on the scale,appox 250lbs.It weighted 3,780lbs. At the time the only parts removed were, AC compressor & bracket ,AC condenser, front sway bar and centerline wheels and bigger tires than stock. My car doesn't have cruise control ,rear defrost, and intermitent wipers, and power ant.& seats. Its a T-Top car w/ pwr windows and locks. WS6 suspention and a 4- speed. I had my ta weighed at track with me in it half tank of gas,no air ,no condenser,before the draglites and it weighed 3825 with me in it weighed 230 or so at the time.I did manage to get it down to 3480 without me in it think 3/4 tank might have been full tank by temporarily removing carpet,almost all underlay stuff,back seats,inner back seat belts,front seat and had three draglites on the car,one snowflake..don't ask..LOL

I will be putting carpet back in I think but might go to lightweight seats.The stock seats are very heavy.I would think from this that a full loaded t top ta with air would be around 3700 pounds empty of gas.They aren't exactly light cars.. http://forums.performanceyears.com/g...icon_frown.gif

Karen's 79 TA weighed 3752 with her in it (I don't know her weight but guessing just under 150? http://pysales.com/images/boxing.gif http://pysales.com/images/sweat.gif LOL.) and a 1/3rd tank of gas. Non A/C car with factory steel rims and nothing stripped. Weighed after her 12.99 pass to verify actual weight.

Im not sure what my '81 weighs,but I put it on a diet!!!
It lost about 40 pounds this weekend...all off the front of the car.I have started removing stuff that I dont need/use.Removed the factory computer and wiring harness,cruise control box,A/C and heater box on the firewall and all of the duct work,controlls,wiring,heater core and anything else that is heat/ a/c related.Of course this is not a viable option for a daily driver but mine will not be street driven very often.
All of this crap removed also made the engine bay look much cleaner/less cluttered.
