I took all of the freeze plugs out of the heads and I didnt mark which one is left and which is right. They are 72 7J2 heads I cant tell which one was origionaly the crossover. Or does it matter which side they go on cause they look the same to me.

The heads are identical, just put the heater hose nipple in the rear port of the passenger side head if you want to run a heater.

I can't think of any GM V8 engine that has left and right head castings. http://forums.performanceyears.com/g.../icon_wink.gif
