I have a red interior 65 and I am trying paint my upper dash the correct dark burgundy 0 gloss color. Has anyone done a red interior and if so did you use aerosol cans. If you used aerosol cans what make and color? Every can I use seems to red and not dark enough. I am painting it myself so aerosol cans is the best way for me. I have tried 3 colors already.
Any help would be appreciated. |

65,
You can buy a fillable spary jar with the aerosol can that screws on and use the correct color mix in it. I did a few that way. I don't think you find any ready mix in exact color you need. The little spayers can be found at most paint supply houses. Cheers. |
I just posted a few pics in this thread of a '65 clone I just finished and sold with an originally red metallic interior, see if that is the color you are looking for. Got the red metallic laquer from The Parts Place Inc., twelve bucks a can spray, same for the matching vinyl dye, perfect match.
