I tried to follow the link to GM press releases that started this thread on 6/11 and got the following message:

Any info on '05 pricing yet vs. the '04? I don't really give a crap about the engine since I'm a gearhead and modify them anyway (MagnaCharger already has a 130 hp bolt-on supercharger kit for the GTO for sale), but none of the available colors appeal to me at all. Something dark and understated would be nice, but not if I have to pay 5 grand extra for it.

Personally, I think things like hood scoops, wings, and air ducts usually end up making the car just look ricey. Putting a scoop in the middle of the hood serves absolutely no purpose - even if it actually functioned, air would most likely come OUT of it because the center of the hood is a low pressure area.
