My top is giving me some problems. The motor seems to work ok but the top hardly moves. Could I have a leak in the pump or lines?
Thank you, Matt

does the motor struggle when you try to put it up , or does it operate smoothly? if it is struggling , either the lift cylinders are gummed up and need replacing , or the top is out of alignment. you can check the alignment by disconnecting the cylinders and operating the top by hand to check for binding in the arms. take a look for air in the lines also , this could be from a leak or bad seals allowing air to enter. on the end of the lift motor there is a rubber plug about 1" in diameter. this is how the system is filled and bled. be careful removing the plug because it is about 1 1/2 inches long and could be brittle. the fluid should be 1/4" below the opening.
