I've heard that the performer doesn't help as much as the advertise, but what would I have to do to my shaker if i install a performer RPM. WHat type of HP increases would i actually see. I woulden't do this alone, but i figure if I do my cam, I may as well rebuild the top end anyway.

The RPM will not fit under the hood on a TA unless you bolt the shaker to the hood or use the kit from Blockers Performance. Those are your choices. I do not know what other mods you have in mind, but this is a Pontiac site. You might get some more help if you went to an olds site. www.realoldspower.com.

Hi There!
"OLDS" is right about not fitting, however there are acouple of us that are trying our own mods to the aircleaner to make it fit. We plan to post info when done. I will be taking photos along the way and hopefully it will work and you will be able to duplicate if you wish. I have the 403 with the Performer RPM and will let you know how it behaves. Now "OLDS", I hope you were not suggesting that Trans Ams with 403's were not Pontiacs and should go elsewhere! *grin* Anyway, thanks for the link... -Phil |
Check out Pontiac Dude's site (Ken Keefer) at www.pontiacdude.cc
He has some horsepower build up tips for the 403. http://kurtspontiac.homestead.com/files/bbaker.jpg |
