Will Buick motors fit in my 67 Lemans and if so what changes would I have to make if any?
I have a chance to purchase a 430 engine from a 68 Buick Lesabre with the trainny and would welcome any comment. What about the 455 Buick makes?

You would probably have to change the frame mounts and motor mounts. That is about it.

Why not just install a 455 Pontiac? Buy the 430 and sell it to a buick guy.

Pontiac did install a Buick engine in the early Tempest. It was an aluminum engine, I think it was 231ci. I beleive it was 1961 or 1962.

I had one of these engines at one time but donated it to my local vocational school when I was cleaning out stuff for a move. I also donated an early Mazda rotary engine from an RX3.

If you have go the 430 route :( , ck out the Burick timing cover oil pump gear area & the main & rod bearings. Buicks are "front" oilers, & by design these timing cover are a problem link.

Well, I guess I'll hold out for a 455. There just tough to come by where I am. I'll just have to be more agressive in finding one.

Not a problem link if either you modify them or buy a new TA Performance timing cover.

From what I read, the Buick 455 was an underrated torque monster.
