Yes there is a special tool for taking the glass chrome trim off. Just go into your local parts store and tell them what you want to do and they should have a tool there. I think I paid $6.00 for mine. It just slides under the edge of the chrome on the glass side, you slide it to the clip give a little twist and the clip will release. be sure to go all the way around and get all the clips.

If your not sure how a local body shop would most likely show you how.

When i took it to a body shop they told me to have an auto glass company do it, they must have thought since im a woman I wouldn't be able to do it.
