I'll be painting 2 cars soon . . . these will be my first attempts at do-it-yourself painting.
Please recommend a good, fairly economical spray gun that is not overkill for my needs. Chances are, I may not do another major paint job such as this in the next 10 years. I'll be doing this as a base coat/clear coat. I may paint in a garage, or rent a spray booth. I have a good compressor. (also: what would you recommend to keep the compressed air dry?). Thanks |

Without spending big $$$ , look at the Sharpe Colbolt HVLP spray guns . For about $180 - $200 you can purchase a nice gun . I would recommand the 1.6 needle and tip for overall use . Don't spray primer through it . Use it for basecoat / clearcoat only .
