Go with the Meziere HD electric, it flows 42 GPM, looks sharp. I paid $315 for mine, works fine on street apps.

The Meziere pump is great. Make sure you let them know it is a street car. They make a higher reliability version for that application.

I was told that my Meziere pumps at a speed equal to 2000 RPM on a stock pump. All of a sudden I am wondering what is going to happen when I start hitting 6500 RPM?
I have filled my block, opened up the extra head port to improve(?) flow. So I am just wondering? Bruce |
Hey Bruce,
A consistant, and moderate speed for the water pump is preferred. Once you have determined that the pump will provide the optimum water flow & velocity necessary to cool the engine, that is all the water pump speed you will ever need. Running a waterpump too fast causes cavitation, which significantly reduces the cooling system efficiency (vapor pockets do not transfer heat well). Hope this helps. K. |
