Is an adapter to run a Chevy trans going to be legal at the track? Anyone use this setup?

Brian-

What trans? Just curious.

Just a TH400. I found one that was just done, cheaper than I could get mine rebuilt for.

Yes, but just like a midplate, you'll probably need a convertor adapter. Jeg's should have both, adapter may come with it. If not, get TCI 1/8" one.

Brian I would definately go with the JW ultrabell bellhousing. It dosn't cost too much and it is easy to install. I did mine myself in about a half an hour. And you will not have to worry about a converter shield as it is SFI approved. Just my .02.

Oh yeah it has both bolt patterns in it also.

Greg,
I'm leading towards the Ultrabell instead of the adapter. I'd go to a mid plate before I would use the adapter.
