My car was reassembled and I see right now a problem in the steering. The steering wheel turns just fine to the right but it only goes probably half way (maybe 1 1/2 turns) to the left. Does that mean the steering worm gear is not installed right? Any ideas?

My car was reassembled and I see right now a problem in the steering. The steering wheel turns just fine to the right but it only goes probably half way (maybe 1 1/2 turns) to the left. Does that mean the steering worm gear is not installed right? Any ideas?

Look at the pitman arm when the wheels are pointed straight ahead. If it's not lined up straight fore-and-aft, the steering box is not centered and the tierods and steering wheel need to be re-set.
