My brother has the above car, and his wife got him a autogauge 8,000rpm 5in tach w/shiftlight for christmas. Model # 233905. It has 4 wires for hook-up. White wire to 12volt dash lighting, Red wire to 12volt ingition switch, Black wire to ground, and a Green wire to tach terminel on the black box. Where is the black box located? Under the hood ,where? I,ve found in a service manual that a white wire is used for the stock tach connection. I cant seem to find the white wire under the hood Please help if you can, Thanks. Also as a side note I,m not sure this model # tach can be used with the LT1 engines. Any suggestions. Monday he will call Autometer to see what they say
