I would be cautious about GTO Gary's claims. Check out the Better Business forum, it has recent posts about 'ol Gary.

Yea, I am aware of his Rep. But if he can get the parts, so can we, at least I hope so.

Rugrat,
If you find out any info please post. I am looking for some springs and a couple parts as well. I have serched everywhere. I have 5 68s and one 67 H&H I am trying to rebuild. All have been sandblasted etc. Main issue is the spring under the top plate the keeps the shift lever tension. Bill |
Try Precision Pontiac, Pete Serio's business, he has all parts concerning most of the Hurst shifters. Go to http://www.precisionpontiac.com and check out his sight.

Pete does the manual shifters, as so I read. He does do very nice work on those and the gauges.
Wheelsyrup, I will keep you in mind on locating some parts. Could you not find a replacement spring froma hardware store? Is it that different of a spring? P.S. haven't seen you in a while in the chat, hope all is well, your little assitant still helping out? Thawing out up there? |
