I see on Ebay that Gary'$ GTOgoodie$ is $elling a recondtioned shifter. Where do I find the parts to do mine myself?
I can't find anywhere that sells a rebuild kit.

Or is he B.S.ing.....

I would be cautious about GTO Gary's claims. Check out the Better Business forum, it has recent posts about 'ol Gary.

Yea, I am aware of his Rep. But if he can get the parts, so can we, at least I hope so.

Rugrat,

If you find out any info please post. I am looking for some springs and a couple parts as well. I have serched everywhere. I have 5 68s and one 67 H&H I am trying to rebuild. All have been sandblasted etc. Main issue is the spring under the top plate the keeps the shift lever tension.

Try Precision Pontiac, Pete Serio's business, he has all parts concerning most of the Hurst shifters. Go to http://www.precisionpontiac.com and check out his sight.

Pete does the manual shifters, as so I read. He does do very nice work on those and the gauges.

Wheelsyrup, I will keep you in mind on locating some parts. Could you not find a replacement spring froma hardware store? Is it that different of a spring? P.S. haven't seen you in a while in the chat, hope all is well, your little assitant still helping out? Thawing out up there?
