Just to let everyone know I have just started my frame off 67 GTO resto. This is a car Ive owned for 15 years, but many of those years were spent just sitting. So many questions will follow over the next year or so. While dismantling the interior I realized how much work will be required to get this car back!! My first series of questions are 1) when it comes to repainting or dying vinyl and plastic interior parts (my interior is gold BTW) who's product is best? 2)On the 67 do the seat backs get painted the same gold color as the dash and upper doors or do they get the vinyl paint color gold? 3) what is the color code for the 67 gold in vinyl paint/dye?

You must have some parts that are still the correct color gold. Take a sample to a quality paint store and have them match it. Ask them to add a flex agent to the paint if you are considering using it on vinyl parts. The paint will work well on both clean plastic and vinyl surfaces.

I would wait until you purchased your new door panels and seatskins, and then take them in and have them match to that.
