I'm replacing the fuel pump on a 66 389, and my question is: Don't I need to support the "arm" on the pump somehow, to line it up right? For some reason, I'm thinking that it doesn't "just bolt right on"... I've heard that before somewhere. Thanks anybody!

You just need to make sure the "arm" on the pump goes in under the eccentric. Then you can put the 2 bolts in and pull it up tight.

It makes the job a little easier if the engine is on #1 tdc, this puts the eccentric on the low side for fuel pump placement. mike
