When I bought my 67 GTO (unrestored) it had the wrong Qjet, a '73 Chevy 350 model. I recently bought a reman '67 Qjet and the throttle linkage was wrong so I took it back. After researching my intake, found it was a '68-'69. So, today I bought a reman Qjet for a '69. Guess what, looked the same as the '67. The problem is the throttle nut hole is at 9 o'clock so it has to be pulled straight up (vertical) in order to open the jets. Since my throttle cable is horizontal from the firewall, this creates a dead pull. My old (incorrect) linkage hole was at 12 o'clock and worked perfectly. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Am I unlucky enough to get two wrong Qjets???
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Roger |

I have a '67 GTO with a '69 GTO intake and a '69 Pontiac (non GTO) carb. My throttle linkage cable has 3 holes. I have carb. throttle arm going through the hole nearest the firewall, (1st hole), I've had no problems with that setup.

Have you obtained the throttle arm bracket which bolts to the throttle arm? These are now available repro, and Chris (PY) can probably help you. Jon.
