Hot Rod magazine did this years ago with a 70's Cadillac. It was running 12's by the time they got done with it.

i belive it was a 70 model buick electra with a 455, the same one that they put all the stickers on! anyway it's funny, they could have cut it after the back seats and added a little caster back there and when quicker:)

And here I thought it was a Chrysler Imperial???

Maybe more than one Mag did a story like that...

Guy Mazza 08-01-2002 06:48 PM

Brian, Hot Rod mag also did the same with a 70(?) Bonneville. The article was called "Ponti-hack" That thing ran good (fast) too (once all the ***** was cut-off!) :D

Scott Misus 08-01-2002 07:05 PM

Before they started cutting it up, it very closely resembled a 2004 GTO...wheels and all.

Scott, there is no such thing as a 2003 GTO, nor will there be.

Rick Lightfoot 08-01-2002 07:38 PM

I remember the car being a 1970 Caddy with the 472. I also remember the article where they used the Pontiac. I love this latest version of this madness!! :D
