From the online catalog at www.melling.com:

Advertised Duration: 297/310
Duration @ 0.050": 224/236
Lift: .407/.407
Lobe Centerline: 112/119

Street & strip, Rough idle, Use w/M.T. or hi stall auto trans, Low vacuum, Power range 2200-5700 RPM-Hyd. 1967-69 400 Ram Air III, OE# 9785744 or our SPC-3

Edit: Oh, they don't mention the opening/closing points. You'd probably have to call them for a copy of the cam card for that.

I've been looking for an original RA III cam for months.
Can you tell me a figure of the lobe separation of the Mellings cam? Didn't the original OEM 744 cam have lifts of .407"/.408"? Are there any other manufacturers that grind a RA III replica?

From an older Melling catlog:

Ram Air 111 cam, Melling No. SPC-3

Advertized duration: intake 301, Exhaust 313.
Intake open 38 BTC, closes 83 ABC. Exhaust open 95 BBC, closes 38 ATC

.050 Cam lift specs: Intake opens 0 BTC, closes 44 ABC, Exhaust opens 57 BBC, closes 1 BTC, with lift at .406 on both. Duration at .050 is Intake 224 and Exhaust 236.

dr Rick, As Wolverine Blue Racer cams are now owned by Crane, you might give them a call and ask if they still sell the Blue racer WG-1028 which is the 744 cam. They list the lobe center as Intake 112* and Exhaust 119*.
