Building my 455, I've noticed a broken sending on EACH head (6X), plus a broken sending unit on the intake (4bbl). Certainly one is a coolant temp, but what about the other two?
Thanks, Double |

1970 had TCS too, so perhaps it was from 1970 forward. But in my application there was only 1 sensor in the manifold. It was a dual switch that enabled the TCS solenoid at one temperature and the idiot light at a higher temp.
When equipped with Rally gauge option, there may have been a separate sensor to operate the temp gauge. But I doubt that any factory setup would have needed 3 sensors. My car is using 3 sensors in the following configuration: 1 Orginal type switch to operate my idiot light. 2. sending unit for electrical temp gauge. 3. thermostatic switch to operate my electric cooling fans. |
