what web pages or catologs would i find the kind of heads and other parts to rebuild a 3.1 mfi or what parts would fit on that are not a 3.1 engines. i was told that a 2.8 mfi's heads will bolt up. if true i dont know. but things like that. thanks

IMO, I think your best bet would be a salvage/junk yard. Not much aftermarket parts demand for the engines you're asking about. The other options would be an auto parts store(expensive) or a GM dealer(VERY expensive).
