I just got done pulling mine the other day. It is not too hard. Just takes alot of patience and care. I followed the instructions fromSteve Buttita's Trans Am Registry Just look under the interior section. It helps to have an extra pair of patient hands to help lift it out. Also found that it is necessary to double check that everything is disconnected.
Have fun!!

2 bolts on each end underneath, that go into a tab on the door pillar,
take glove box door off, look up inside and where the steel meets the vinal there are litle nuts to screw off about 5 I think
take the dash cover off, screws alon the top,and the cigarett lighter & headlight switch unscrew the outer ring to get the bezle past it, to pull the headlight Knob out there is a button that has to be pushed in on the top of the main body of the switch it helps to go to the parts store and see one first.
1 more screw goes through the dash in the drivers side corner top to the steel part of the dash under the pillar post,
Drop stering wheel first, Ihope i didnt forget any!

Just did this a month or so ago. Don't forget to disconnect your speedo cable and the other stuff connected to your speedo cluster.

Thanks guys. I got it out without a hitch the other day. It's nice to know where all those little hidden bolts are.

In a big operation you have to expect a few screw ups.
