it depends on the 4cyl. if it's a 2.3 quad 4 stay away from it. if it's a 2.5 liter tech 4 they're a decent car. check for excessive blow by[ oil in the air breather] also look at the front of the block behind the exhaust manifold for traces of antifreeze leaking from the head gasket. there was a problem with broken head bolts in this area. we replaced a lot of them with out pulling the head. if the engine's quiet when it runs and doesn't show any of the above symptoms it's probably a good one. those cars were prone to rust under the moldings and when they started they went quick so look it over carefully. btw, the 6cyl cars are a major pita to work on. mike
