Hello all,

I just bought a '67 GTO hardtop and luckily I found this board. Looks like a lot of good info here. I was always a Buick guy and had many GS and Skylarks over the years. I always liked the GTO's also and was lucky to find an unmolested original. It needs a lot of body work and rust repair, but it's all there including the original drivetrain and protecto plate.

I also got a set of 6X and 4X heads with the car. Are these worth hanging onto? Also got a complete 400 engine from a '78.

Thought I'd say hi from the great white north.

Welcome Snowbound, Year One makes an adaptor kit to mount 1977 to 1979 400 engines in pre 1970 chassis. Check with Performance Years also, since these are the great people that give us this wonderful forum....Gary

Congrats on your 67 GTO. I`m an Olds guy to but i have a 67 GTO i bought in Dec. It is a wonderful car but it certainly is very different from my Olds. I always liked the style and wanted the first muscle car . a GTO.

Definitely hold onto whichever set of those heads seems in the best shape. One day you may want to slip a 455 in your GTO and the 6X/4X heads make good street performers when properly set up with a 455 to use pump gas.
