Quick qjet questions I have a 68 qjet im rebuilding and found there is a crack in one of the rear wells. the crack is shaped like a u and goes from top of well to the bottom of where the plugs bottomos out . Well is there any way possiable to fix this ????????

We see the same problem once in a while on the early carbs. If it's not a Ram Air or other incredibly valuable carb, best to get another casting. We have managed to repair a few of these, just fixed one a few weeks ago for a 1968 Camaro the owner just had to have for his restoration. It can be time consuming (expensive), but we've managed to be pretty successful repairing them.

If the carb is cracked in the wells, I'd take a hard look at the threads for the fuel inlet seat and fuel filter housing, most often they need heli-coiled as well.....Cliff
