I have a 67 Catalina. When I turn the right turn signal on with the brakes applied and the lights on, the left brake lights go back to their regular brightness.(like I'm not pushing the brakes.)When the lights are off and the brakes applied, and the right signal on, the left side goes out. But, it doesn't do it vice-versa, and there are no other problems other than that. When the signal goes off, the left side brightens back up.What's the dealio??

Don't blame me cause your chevy broke down, you should have bought a PONTIAC!!

sounds like a bad ground posiably at the socket. i would look for some corosin (sp) near or at that socket. it might just need mved around for a new connection.

What does the front turn signals do?

I'd try changing the bulbs first.

I had the same problem with my 66. My problem was solved by pulling all grounds, scuff and clean connector and surface, applying some dielectric grease and adding a star washer. Make sure you check the ground wires going to the front lights also, all lights are on the same circut.
Good luck.

this might sound stupid but it's real easy to mix up bulbs, make sure or switch w/a known good bulb.
