I'm at a loss to determine where the hot lead from the fan motor conects to. I can trace from the fan speed switch to the conector on the housing on under dash. The leads from the conectors go into the harness and off to ?? Have no idea which lead would be for the fan. Is their supposed to be a relay or something under the Hood?

On my bird there is a brown power wire running from the fuse panel up to the blower switch. The blower switch then sends this power out to the blower resistors which are mounted in the top of the heater core air box under the dash. Depending on selected speed, the power is either routed thru the white wire and on to two resistors in series for low speed, thru the red wire and one resistor (the second of the two required for low speed)for medium speed or thru the black wire thru no resistors for high speed. The wire that connects to the blower motor is a big black wire that comes out of the blower resistor connector mounted on top of the heater core air box. This wire routes thru a special gromet in the firewall above the heater core air box and routes thru two clips attached to the hearter core mounting studs. Hope this helps!

The other replay is correct. One other note the fan blower power is provided by the large brown wire feeding the switch except in the High position. In the high position the voltage from the switch fires a fan relay that provides direct power (Black with orange strip) to the fan. Hope this helps.
