I bought a SUMMIT cam and 2 lobes went flat(2 rockers out of adjustment).Any thoughts on the quality of this cams.good?bad? thanks :cool:

The cam are made by Crane & they are a good quality piece. Look at your spring pressure, valve adjustment, or possibly an oiling problem as the cause.

I agree. While my first cam from Summit was bent, that was a case of improper storage or damage in shipping. There was nothing "wrong" with the quality of my second cam. The lifters, however, were very noisy and I never really was comfortable with them.

Scott is correct on the potential sources of your problems.

Thanks 4 your input.The reason this ? came up in the first place was because of Goatman saying he had a bent one and I started thinking there cams were junk.Thanks guys. [img]smile.gif[/img] :cool:

I just heared Crane is no longer making cams. They sold that part of there company. They just grind cams now, like most cam companys.
Although I would not be suprised if they were grinding cams for Summit.
