Dash Cheat Kit

Anyone try one of these? Looks like it just slips over the existing dash pad. Wouldn't mind doing this as a short term fix since I don't plan on getting to replace the dash anytime soon. Sounds a little too good to be true though.

Yes I used one years ago on my gto and it fit pretty good. You have to make sure that your existing dash is smooth with no high points from warping or cracking or else the cap will not fit good at all.

These caps for the 2nd gen Firebirds are good to a point.

They look and fit excellent until you get to the inner portion of the dash cluster area. They seemed to have cut them too short to extend more into cluster opening area. It is about 1.5" too short and it is in a high focus area. Other than that they fit and look good.

I bought one for my 78 T/A I installed it and saw the cluster area where it was short, and decided to not go with it. Shipped it off the "Just Dashes" for a recover.

Cool, thanks for the info.
