Jet-Hot
I just wanted to let everyone know that back in 2000 I had a set of headers coated by Jet-Hot, these headers had alot of cleanings (oil and dirt)....Well to make a long story short, My headers had started to lose some of the coating it was basically flaking off....I talked to Jet-Hot they found me in the computer and recoated them for free no questions asked :D ...I did have to pay $27.00 for the return shipping thou, but after 6 years and to recoat at no charge I have no complaints... Well there is my story and good deed for the day :)

I guess I better call Jet-Hot. I had my vintage (NOS) Tri-Y's done about a 18 months ago. I noticed some surface rust 1/2 way through last season. I figured I would wait till seasons end and send them off. In reading the warranty it stated the 3 year warranty was for RUST THROUGH!! So I figue I am screwed
Only trouble is if they say send them back....I have no other headers that will fit my car... |
60Man, What kind of valve covers are those? Got a full picture? Thanks, Bruce

They Micky Thompson's. I bead blasted them and then clear coated them and added a decal. 'm also using IA spacers under them.

Thanks, Very nice. Why the spacer, running a stud girdle? Are they as tall as a stock chrome cover? Thanks, Bruce

Bruce: No stud girdle...yet. May have one though as RPM window will be 7K this season. Just wanted plenty of clearance for the HS 1.65 rockers.
dammen8: I won't feel bad at all for calling Jet Hot.... :D |
Chad- That's great to hear that Jet-Hot would re-do your 6 year old coatings for free. Not many businesses would do something like that.
