Pontiac Hand-Sign/Gesture

Seems to me that there oaght to be a hand-sign that one Pontiac guy gives another, like when they pass each other on the road. Or when your a pedestrian and you see a Poncho in a parking lot or passing by - a salute, sign of respect or just an "I understand - our thing".

We all know the general thumbs-up, but that's for anyone with a decent ride.

Wouldn't it be cool to have one for ourselves - for the brotherhood?

So what would be your recommendation:
- maybe a horizontal "peace sign" which would represent an arrowhead?
(I like that one, even old guys with arthritis can handle that one)
- or how about a tomahawk chop - I dont know............

Sure, if we were to come up with one it will take time to spread around but it will be worth it for the cause!

Maybe a tarzan kinda chest pound? ahah I like this idea a lot i think if we all pool together we can get something real catchy thatll spread quickly.

Kinda tough when you're doing seventy! But you got the spirit!

How about the Indian war cry...the one with the hand over the mouth. :D

Thanks for the idea with the loktite 271 and the outter race, it seems like it's boiling down to that.

My pleasure P@blo, actually I know this because I havent done it yet to my 12-bolt. I replaced my pass side axle bearing and noticed it was not real tight. Found out about the Loc-tite after I had it back together. My pass wheel wobbles a bit too.
I'm going to a 9" when I put the 455 in anyway and not enough space to work on it since I've moved.

gotta be the hang-loose!

INJUNTOM 06-25-2006 10:37 PM

i don't know about nowadays, but when i was growing up, my parents had a Jeep, and there is a thing like that where all Jeep owners wave at each other.

pretty much if you see somebody driving a Pontiac while you're driving yours, they'll catch the meaning :D

also gotta watch the peace sign - in england and australia, the peace sign is the same as the middle finger here...

I definetly think there should be a sign jeep owners still have a little wave, when i was in North carolina my buddy had a jeep and everytime he someone with one the would give each other a little wave. but im sure we all kinda understand each other if we were to see each other driving a pontiac.

Close. The peace sign has the 'V' with the back of the hand facing the person who is giving the sign. The F* Off has the 'V' with the back of the hand facing the person being told to F* Off.

Don't want you guys embarrassing yourself in a foreign land by peace signing everyone to death! Although if you don't mind making a fool of yourself it might defuse a nasty situation. :)

Brandi Kay 06-26-2006 09:08 AM

lay a strip of rubb'a
???

:D

mrtonegto 06-26-2006 06:10 PM

That'll work BK.

But it reminds me of the old, old man with a cane who goes into a house-of-ill-repute and asks for the youngest and hottest girl they've got. While the madam is trying to believe this, the old man takes out a stack of about a doz. Trojans, a pair of ear plugs and a nose clip and puts them on the counter.

The madam is totally confused and asks what's he gonna do with all that stuff.

The old guy says in a rickety old voice: "Well, there's two things I can't stand.
One is the sound of a women screaming.................

and the other is the smell of burning rubber!!" (or you say rub'ba!)

Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

dreambird72 06-26-2006 06:21 PM

I know its corny but had to throw it out there.

speedshopmike 06-26-2006 11:05 PM

P@blo 06-26-2006 11:15 PM
