76 Bird, 4.1 L, best bang for buck?
This car had a new cat and catback piping put on about 900 miles ago per the invoice i have. Although it has barely any sound to it whatsoever.
Would I be hurting the value of this mint i6 by modifying the exhaust? if not, whats the recommendations? And whats the most bang for my buck? just a muffler? or what/ |
23 views... no replies... hey, i know its a noob question, but come on!
|
if they just put a new cat on that should help alot cause the old ones are crap
you can just pull the whole thing off and put like a single 2.5 icnh or sumn |
it has a new cat and piping from the cat-back.. but it has no sound at all, i need some rumble
|
Drop a 455 in if you want some rumble. Nothing good in this life is cheap!
|
Its not a matter of cheap, TA. The car is totally mint how it is, and I plan on keeping that motor and setup, for the most part.
So instead of all you "jokers" telling me to swap the motor, why cant someone simply answer my d*** question? |
Not a "joker" but a six banger is only going to give so much "rumble".
If you want it a little louder swap out the muffler with something smaller. In a very general sense a muffler with a smaller case will be louder than the same style in a larger case. The Summit turbo style might be good to try. If you don't like it you won't be out much $$. |
I fail to believe that, just got some new exhaust on my jeep, which has a 4.0 inline 6, and it screams
|
but it probably dont rumble like an 8, summit or a flowmaster- the loud series
neither will give you a whole lot more power but it should sound "different" |
