For sure...and I think about 663 were made that year. I don't have breakdowns of autos VS. 5 speeds. But low production none the less.

Knowing what I know now about 91-92 convertibles the cost of restoring this one would be triple it's current market value.

And I've read that once that rocker panel area is punched the top never closes properly again.

but you read all kinds of stuff on the internet...it still looks fixable to me, but certainly not worth the investment.

I don't know how that site sells cars but it appears to be at $2000 right now. And that gets you a very undesirable "salvage" PA title.

The interior looks pretty ratty for a 78K mile car too.

How can all that happen in 78k miles?

That is heartbreaking. What a beautiful car it was.

It is worth more than $2,000 in parts, easily.

These thirdgens, since they haven't hit their stride yet, are often worth more in parts than whole.
