Remember Stick City Whittier Ca.

I can remember going to Stick City in Whittier Ca. and looking at all the muscle cars for sale. I remember a white 1970 Trans am for sale. I didnt buy it because it had a slight rod knock. They had all kinds of high performance cars I also remember a boss 429 mustang and a hemi cuda. Does anyone else remember the place?

Was it near Whittier & Beach Blvd? If that's the one my wife and I went to school with the owner's daughter. She'd drive a different car to school every week.

Yes, I remember the place well. Used to live in Buena Park . Had a 32 3 window chopped chanelled etc. Bright yellow. Supercharged Pontiac. In 70's we ( my buddie and I.) He had a roadster also Pontiac powered. One Sat afternoon we went to whittier Blvd to just cruise the town, HA. We were alone for about 10 min within the next 10 min we had 20 rods and hot rods cruising. When we pulled into ( I think it was Bob big boys not for sure) to get a burger and coke, we Filled the parking lot. Talked, asked how hard it was to run supercharged on the street. It was a real blower set up I put together. Went Back to cruising pretty soon we saw flashing lights. The police pulled us over and explained that the store owners on Whittier Blvd were complaining. Just don't stop in your cruising in front of their establishments. All this time we are adding hotrods to the cruise. About 5 min at another spot on Blvd again police. Since I was 1rst car and my buddies car was#2 the police picked on us that nite. People were all over watching cruise but not buying. Police told us if Another report from buisnesses about this cruise WE ( buddy and I) would go to jail and they would take our cars. I got mad and after the police left, We covered the aria in smoke and we left. NEVER went back to Whittier Blvd to cruise ever. ( wish I had that car now) ^That was my experience with Whittier Blvd in the 70's. hotchief

I use to cruise Whitter Blvd. all the time!
I would drive all the way up and down, and sometimes even show up real early, to look at all the cars on all the car lots.
I would street race, then pull over and just chat with other car owners.
That place was always nice with good looking cars.
